As both a Chief Human Resources Officer and a Chief Learning Officer, Stephanie has 25 years of experience leading human capital organizations in publicly and privately held environments. Her experience across diverse industry sectors includes healthcare, financial services, media and telecommunications. Stephanie leverages her background in Lean Six Sigma with a deep expertise in human capital, thereby linking business operations to human capital strategy leading to accelerated team and leadership performance. As an expert in the full spectrum of human capital processes, including talent acquisition and workforce planning, HRIS and operations, organization development and learning, benefits and compensation and diversity and inclusion, Stephanie has a unique ability to connect human capital functional expertise with operating reality. Her energy, curiosity, and belief in the power of human capital to drive strategy and results have made her a valued partner to executive teams looking to connect people, strategy and execution.


Stephanie’s HR leadership experiences have taken her to organizations as varied as Steward Healthcare, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, The Boston Globe, Fidelity Investments, the First Marblehead Corporation, Sun Life Financial and the Bank of America. As a leader of HR start-ups and turnarounds, Stephanie’s focus on developing HR as an operational asset has enabled her to bring both a strategic and operational focus to HR leadership in a variety of industries.

Stephanie has built human capital organizations at both Fidelity’s brokerage business and at the First Marblehead Corporation. At Fidelity, she reduced HR overhead by 30% while simultaneously increasing training penetration, particularly in Sales and Product development. At the First Marblehead Corporation, Stephanie built a talent organization from scratch, achieving a 30% reduction in time to job readiness for Operations staff while also reengineering workflows, reducing customer processing time and improving customer satisfaction. Stephanie used her deep experience in executive assessment to build hiring and succession planning processes, thus reducing time and expense in executive search. At The Boston Globe, Stephanie led the overhaul of the HR operating infrastructure that included the transformation of Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, HRIS, and the introduction of a Diversity and Inclusion strategy.

As an HR executive in healthcare at both Steward Health Care and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Stephanie’s leadership supported clinical integration and Quality efforts. At Steward Health Care, a portfolio company of Cerberus Capital Management, Stephanie built the infrastructure to rapidly disseminate changes to clinical procedures in a multi-hospital healthcare delivery network. As the HR advisor to executive teams and Boards of Directors at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and Steward, Stephanie led organizational assessment, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives as well as organizational restructuring and employee engagement programs. Stephanie’s approach is characterized by her ability to build trusting partnerships with Physician and Nursing leadership to align approaches to clinical leadership development with a core focus on the patient experience. She has also introduced Lean Six Sigma tools to simplify and reduce time in HR processing improving talent acquisition, onboarding and integration.

In a consulting capacity, Stephanie has worked with CEOs, CIOs, CFOs and a variety of executive teams facilitating strategic planning and alignment efforts, conducting organization assessments, and serving as an executive coach in both the for profit and non-profit sectors.

Stephanie is a summa cum laude graduate of Fordham University where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She holds an advanced certificate in Organization Development and Human Resources Management from Columbia University where she also studied for her Master’s Degree in Leadership and Learning. She received her certification in Executive Coaching from New York University and holds a Green Belt in Quality Management. She’s certified in a number of assessment tools including the Hogan suite, the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory, DISC profile, and Thomas-Kilman Conflict Inventory.

Outside The Office

Stephanie is dedicated to both the arts and community building. She has served as the President of the Board of Directors of Boston Theatreworks as well as a Board member for the Massachusetts Advocates for the Arts, Sciences and Humanities. She’s also served as a pro bono consultant to the Boston Management Consortium and the executive committees of the Boys and Girls Club of Boston and Neighborhood Housing Services of New York.

In her spare time Stephanie is an avid reader and traveler. She has absolutely no athletic ability which does not stop her from being an enthusiastic baseball fan. Her favorite thing is spending time with her family: her three daughters, two grand-daughters, son-in-law, daughter–in-law and three grand dogs.
